Ingredients
  1. 1/2 cup margarine
  2. 2 cups brown sugar
  3. 1 tsp vanilla
  4. 2 eggs
  5. 1 1/2 cups flour
  6. 2 tsp baking powder
  7. 1 tsp salt
  8. 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  9. 1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
  1. Melt margarine in a large saucepan.
  2. Add sugar and vanilla.
  3. Stir until blended.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time and beat well.
  5. Mix flour, baking powder and salt together.
  6. Add to saucepan and mix well.
  7. Spread on a lightly greased 9x12 pan.
  8. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over mixture.
  9. Press down lightly.
  10. Bake at preheated 350F for 35-40 minutes.
  11. Cool.
  12. Cut into bars.

Ingredients

  2. 2/3 cup sugar
  3. 1/8 tsp cream of tartar

  6. Turn paper over.

  8. Make the base then the sides.
  9. Bake at 200F for 1 ½ to 2 hours.
  10. Test after 1 ½ hrs.
  11. If cookie is dry turn off oven and cool in oven.
Notes
  1. If they turn beige, the oven is too hot.
