Ingredients
  1. 1/3 cup butter
  2. 1 cup brown sugar
  3. 1 egg
  4. 1 tsp vanilla
  5. 2 cups whole wheat flour
  6. 1/4 tsp salt
  7. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  8. 1/4 cup chopped nuts
Instructions
  1. Cream butter.
  2. Gradually add brown sugar and cream well.
  3. Add egg, vanilla beat well.
  4. Mix flour, salt, soda and nuts.
  5. Stir into creamed mixture.
  6. Shape dough into long rolls 2 inch in diameter.
  7. Wrap with wax paper and chill 2 hours.
  8. Slice thinly.
  9. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  10. Bake 350F 8-10 minutes
