Ingredients
- 1 can pitted cherries (1 lb)
- 1 18 1/2 pkg yellow cake mix
- Prepare cake mix with eggs etc.
- 1 cup ground hazel nuts
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- Powdered sugar
Instructions
- Drain cherries reserving juice.
- Dry cherries with paper towels.
- Prepare cake mix using 1/2 water and 1/2 juice.
- Fold cherries, hazel nuts and cinnamon into batter.
- Spread evenly in prepared 13x9 pan.
- Bake 40 minutes at 350F.
- Cut cooled cake into slices and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
