Ingredients
  1. 1 can pitted cherries (1 lb)
  2. 1 18 1/2 pkg yellow cake mix
  3. Prepare cake mix with eggs etc.
  4. 1 cup ground hazel nuts
  5. 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  6. Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Drain cherries reserving juice.
  2. Dry cherries with paper towels.
  3. Prepare cake mix using 1/2 water and 1/2 juice.
  4. Fold cherries, hazel nuts and cinnamon into batter.
  5. Spread evenly in prepared 13x9 pan.
  6. Bake 40 minutes at 350F.
  7. Cut cooled cake into slices and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
