  1. 2 cups boiling water
  2. 2 cups natural bran
  3. 1 cup raisins
  4. 1/4 cup wheat germ

  14. 1 cup chopped dates
  15. 1/2 cup chopped dried apricots
Instructions
  1. Have 2 medium and one large bowl ready.
  2. Preheat oven to 375F.
  3. Pour water over bran, raisins and wheat germ in medium bowl.
  4. Mix and set aside.
  5. Stir together in another medium bowl, flour, baking soda and salt.
  6. Set aside.
  7. Cream butter and sugar in the large bowl.
  8. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  9. By hand, stir in sour milk, bran mixture, oats, flour mixture, dates and apricots.
  10. Combine well.
  11. Spoon into greased muffin tins; bake for 30 minutes.
  12. If small muffin tins, bake for 20 minutes.
  13. Batter will stay fresh in fridge for 1 month.
