Ingredients
- 2 cups bran flakes
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup soft shortening
- 1/2 cup dates
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt.
Instructions
- Combine the bran flakes, milk and molasses.
- Let stand.
- Add egg and shortening and beat well.
- Stir in dates.
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add to bran mixture.
- Spoon into greased muffin pans.
- Bake at 400F for 20 minutes.
