Ingredients
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup margarine
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Soak the raisins in orange juice.
- Place sugar, flour, baking powder, cream of tartar and salt into a large bowl.
- Stir well.
- Cut margarine into dry ingredients to size of peas.
- Add egg, raisins and orange juice and mix.
- Shape dough into a ball.
- Divide in half and pat on a floured board in 1/2 inch round.
- Score each round into six pie shaped pieces and place on lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Bake At 400F for 20 minutes.
