Ingredients
- 1 cup Crisco
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 cups quick cooking oatmeal
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugars.
- Add eggs and mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, soda and salt.
- Add the two mixtures together.
- Add the rest of the dry ingredients and stir well.
- Drop with spoon on a greased cookie sheet.
- Allow 1 inch between.
- Bake at 375F for 8-10 minutes.
Notes
- Twice as good the next day.
