Ingredients
- 1 large brisket
- Seasoned salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp cider vinegar
- 1 cup ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325.
- Season well with seasoning.
- Sprinkle with brown sugar and drizzle with vinegar.
- Frost with Ketchup.
- Bake uncovered until semi tender 1 1/2 to 3 hours.
- Remove meat from gravy and cool.
- Skim fat.
- Add water to dilute gravy.
- Taste and adjust seasoning.
- Let brisket cool then slice.
- Place the slices in an ovenproof casserole.
- Cover with gravy and seal tightly with aluminum foil.
- Heat until tender (1 hour).
