Ingredients
- 2 large red jam jelly rolls
- 3 tbsp custard powder
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2½ cups homo milk
- 1 pkg strawberry Jello
- 2 cups hot water
- 2 cups cold water
- 2- 14oz cans strawberries
- 2 half-pint cartons whipping cream
- some cherry
- some sugar
Instructions
- Dissolve Jello in hot water.
- Add cold water.
- Let it set.
- Mix custard powder with sugar and a little milk to make a paste.
- Heat the milk in a saucepan and stir into custard powder bowl then back to saucepan and cook until thick.
- Keep warm.
- Break the jelly rolls into small pieces and place in bottom of trifle.
- Glass bowl.
- Pour sherry over.
- Add strawberries and push them well into the cake.
- Pour warm custard over fruit.
- Chill to set custard.
- Break up the jelly with a fork and place over custard.
- Whip cream with a little sugar and smooth over jelly.
- Decorate with almonds.
