Ingredients
- 1 cup pastry flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 3/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Sift together flour and baking powder.
- Stir in 1/3 cup brown sugar.
- Cut in butter until mixture is blended (It will appear dry).
- Pat evenly into a well greased 12x8 pan.
- Bake at 350F for 10 minutes.
- Mix 1/4 cup brown sugar with 3 tbsp flour.
- Beat eggs.
- Add flour mixture, corn syrup, sugar, salt and vanilla; mix well.
- Pour over partially baked mixture, sprinkle with chopped pecans.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350F.
- Cut into bars while warm.
