Ingredients
  1. 1 oz butter
  2. 1 oz flour
  3. 3 pints water
  4. 2 lb pitted cherries
  5. Sugar
  6. 4 tbsp kirsch
  7. Several crusts of bread
Instructions
  1. Heat butter and stir in flour then gradually add water.
  2. When blended, add cherries and sugar.
  3. Bring to boil then cook slowly until the cherries are soft.
  4. Add kirsch and stir well and bring to boil.
  5. Put the crusts into plates and add hot soup.
