Crust
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup ground almonds
- 1 cup butter
Filling
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
Crust
- Combine flour, sugar and ground almonds in mixing bowl.
- Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Press into a 13x9 greased cake pan.
- Bake at 350F for 15 minutes.
- Cool 10 minutes.
Filling
- Beat eggs, sugar and lemon juice well.
- Combine flour and baking powder and stir into eggs.
- Pour over baked crust.
- Bake at 350F for 20 minutes.
- Cool and cut into bars.
- Sprinkle with icing sugar if desired.
